Rewire

We specialise in the rewiring of domestic properties to improve safety and reduce the risk of fire hazards. Modern homes are often not equipped to handle the growing demand of today’s gadgets and appliances and this can cause issues if the property is not wired correctly.

If your property is over 25 years old, or if you are planning new building work then our electricians are able to give you peace of mind that your property is safe and efficiently wired.

Some signs that your building may need a rewire are as follows:

  • A limited number of sockets in each room (only 1 or 2)
  • Switches and socket being mounted on skirting boards
  • Scorch marks around the pin holes on sockets or sockets are warm to touch
  • Outdated fuse box
  • Exposed cables
  • Faulty switches and sockets

We are based in Sheffield and we work with landlords, contractors as well as domestic clients to improve their electrical installation quality.

Electrical Testing: EICR

An Electrical Installation Conditioning Report (EICR) is an essential service which needs to be carried out on your home at certain intervals.

This test is required to check the condition and safety of the existing electrical installations in the property you own. This is needed to ensure that the installations have been maintained to a required level in your home.

It is important to undertake our electrical testing service for:

  • Home Buyers – When buying a new home it is important to have your electrical installation tested.
  • Selling Your Home – An EICR may be required when selling your home
  • Property Renovations – AN EICR is a test required to reach safety standards.
  • Landlords – EICR carried out every 5 years is a requirement for rented properties.
